Over the past two and a half years i’ve been asked by so many people why i am doing a degree in photography…why it will benefit me…its just photography…right? & to those people who think its ‘just’ a photograph…you couldnt be more wrong. What us photographers do is capture a little bit of history…and i think that is a beautiful thing.
Anyways, although these past two and a half years studying for my degree have been awful, stressful, hard work…ive done things ive not wanted to…and sometimes ive questioned myself ‘why the hell am i doing this?’ Ive wanted to give up. I’ve seen my friends go into full time jobs and earn lots of money and wished i could have as much money as they have. As im coming to the end of my degree, i can honestly say i have learnt things in these past few years about myself that i never thought i would, not just academic things, but things that have allowed me to expand my mind, find out my likes and dislikes, made me a stronger person….And if thats all my degree has taught me then im happy with that!
